Recovery Agent is built on a simple promise: your recovery is your business. We collect no personal information, create no user accounts, and store no data on our servers. Everything stays on your device.

1. Our Privacy Commitment

Recovery Agent is a recovery support app designed with complete anonymity at its core. We believe that people in recovery deserve absolute privacy, and we built this app to reflect that belief.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
We do not create user accounts or require sign-up
We do not track your location
We do not store your conversations, mood entries, sobriety dates, or any personal data on our servers
We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties for advertising or marketing
We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs that identify individual users

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All your personal data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This includes:

Your sobriety date and recovery milestones
Mood check-in entries
Water intake and wellness tracking data
AI conversation history
Daily chat usage counts

This data never leaves your device. If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently erased.

4. Recovery Agent

When you use the Recovery Agent, your messages are sent to our server to generate a response using OpenAI's language model. These messages are:

Processed in real-time and not stored on our servers
Not linked to any user identity (we have no way to identify who sent them)
Subject to OpenAI's privacy policy for processing

We strongly encourage you not to share personally identifying information (real names, addresses, phone numbers) in chat conversations.

5. Voice Features

If you use voice input or text-to-speech (available with Recovery Agent Plus):

Voice recordings are sent to our server for transcription, then immediately discarded
Text-to-speech audio is generated on-demand and not stored
No voice data is retained on our servers

6. Subscriptions

Recovery Agent Plus subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Subscription and payment information is handled entirely by Apple/Google and RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment details. Please refer to:

7. Children's Privacy

Recovery Agent is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
